Octagon Chair

This chair was designed with a focus on how an octagon shape can translate into a chair. The process started with sketching, sketch models, and CAD drawing to reach the final design. The seat of the chair is laminated plywood, and the radiating panels of the base are connected to an octagonal piece with splines. The seat and body are screwed together with felt wedged between to secure gaps and to emphasize the curves.
