the basis for the project was white fabric and a basic pattern that was sent to build off of. these were materials already available at home to add on and build a story around
initial concept
starting off, the jumpsuit lived in a world where everything was pink and over the top. It was taking inspiration from the children's book Priscilla and the Pink Planet & the camp Met Gala theme

refined concept
during the making process, the jumpsuit's story changed to living in a more sinister world. The wearer is a new citizen on a strange and dry planet after having to move from earth. She is tasked with keeping others safe at night and wears the jumpsuit as camouflage in the starry night. SHe has sewn flower patches in her pocket as a reminder of her garden on earth and for hope for a safe return home in the future.
